The G12-M4 kit swaps the flight battery for a tool-free airborne module (370 g on Matrice 4, 180 g on Matrice 4D) and feeds regulated high-voltage DC from the ground — 24 h+ on station with the original battery held at ≥90% as an untouched reserve. Contact-free HV switching and automatic cable reel-in/out mean you never touch high voltage or approach the drone during take-off and landing; if ground power is cut the drone flies and lands normally while the cable auto-retracts, and cable break, disconnect or short-circuit trigger instant HV cutoff.

Ground station — G12-M4
One compact case converts single-phase mains into 600–850 VDC at 1,200 W rated. The servo-driven winch manages 33 m or 55 m of tether at 0–3 m/s with 0–10 N adaptive tension, while panel keys, the mobile app, a PC client or the DJI remote controller display live voltage, current, cable length and faults. Over/under-voltage, over-current, over-temp and short-circuit protection auto-recover; power-loss, over-unspool and cable-break safeguards are standard.
Airborne module — two airframe variants
Two versions cover the series: G12-M4 (370 g, L-shaped) for Matrice 4 / 4E / 4T with a 16.5 V regulated output, and G12-M4D (180 g) for Matrice 4D / 4TD with 25 V. Both swap into the battery bay with a tool-free plug-in lock, accept the 600–850 VDC wide-range input, deliver 600 W regulated and hold the onboard pack at ≥90% as a cold backup. IP54 housing; status is reported to the ground station over the tether.
